Mews Fest returns to Great Northern with new Fringe event for 2026!

Posted: 22nd April 2026

Deansgate’s wildly popular Mews Fest returns to Great Northern this May Bank Holiday weekend, bringing three days of free live music, food, drink and independent culture back to the hidden gem street down the side of the iconic warehouse.

Taking place from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May, the festival marks its sixth year with an expanded programme and the introduction of the first-ever Mews Fest Fringe. Building on its grassroots ethos, this year’s event will feature 40 bands performing across a mix of outdoor and intimate indoor stages, with venues including Lion’s Den, Low Four Studios and The Mews Bar hosting curated line-ups throughout the weekend.

Following a blockbuster 2025 edition, this year’s festival offers a vibrant mix of live performances alongside al fresco dining and drinks from surrounding bars and restaurants. Visitors can expect a buzzing atmosphere as the Mews transforms into a hub for music lovers and the wider creative community.

New for 2026, the Mews Fest Fringe will run across the same weekend, housed within a large unit inside Great Northern. Designed as a platform for independent creatives, the space will bring together artists, designers, record sellers, vintage curators and makers, creating an indoor market and exhibition environment where visitors can browse, shop and connect.

Both Mews Fest and Mews Fest Fringe are free to attend.
